Gary Will, managing partner of the Toronto firm Will Davidson LLP, focuses on personal injury law.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from York University in 1979 before earning his Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1982.
In addition, Mr. Will received certificates in Civil Law from the University of Sherbrooke and Comparative Law from Dalhousie University in 1981. He went on to obtain a certificate in Private International Law from Hague Academy of International Law in 1983 before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1984.
Mr. Will is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a specialist in civil litigation. He handles matters such as product liability, professional negligence, insurance, environmental, bad faith, and class-action litigation.
Mr. Will has written and lectured on insurance-related topics for such groups as the American Association for Justice, the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
He is on the board of governors of the American Association for Justice and was its provincial delegate from 1996 to 2007.
Mr. Will is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers Association, Halton County Law Association, Simcoe County Law Association, and is past president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
