Joseph Campisi is a personal injury lawyer in Toronto with nearly 20 years of experience and one of the few lawyers in Ontario to hold a Ph.D. in the field. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Campisi Law, a firm that specializes exclusively in representing injured victims and their families.

Joseph graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003. In 2009, he completed a Ph.D., defending his thesis evaluating motor vehicle accident compensation in Ontario since 1990. His academic knowledge, which few personal injury lawyers in Toronto can boast, he uses daily to build compelling, and sometimes innovative, legal arguments for his clients.

Professor of Insurance Law

Since 2009, Joseph has been an Adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at his alma mater, Osgoode Hall Law School, and the updating editor of the Butterworths Ontario Motor Vehicle Insurance Practice Manual, the leading textbook on Ontario auto insurance law. He is a frequent commentator on developments in insurance and personal injury law for publications such as the Toronto Star, CBC Radio, Canadian Underwriter, Law Times and The Lawyer’s Daily, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers® in Canada for his achievements in Personal Injury Litigation.
